Coles Gun Shop in Clearwater has been in business since 1976, and grew as a retail brand grew under the leadership of our owner’s late husband, Tiny “Taso” Vassiliadis, a gentle giant to all who knew him, who lost his life to colon cancer in 2018, at the young age of 45.

His love for the business resonated with everyone he met, and when the time came to determine what to do with Coles, his widow, Barbara, jumped in, and has run the business ever since.

In 2022, after 46 years at its original Douglas Avenue location, it was time for Coles to find a new home, and so our shop relocated to its new 5,000 square foot location, at 1848 N. Highland Ave, in Clearwater.

We are just the second owner in the shop’s long-time history, and are proud to carry on a tradition of taking care of each of our customers as if we’ve known them forever.

When a customer comes into our store, our goal is to help them find the right firearm right for their needs, especially our first-time buyers. We give them a tour of each section of the shop to help them identify what they find comfortable – and what they enjoy the most.

As our new location grows, so will our product lines and custom services, and we are committed to making our mark, and earning your business, each and every day.
